Okinawa beaches/

I will not talk about all Okinawa beaches, only about several of them, but they all are very much the same. A beach is designated by a little swimmer pictogram on Google Maps. I added the green brackets so that it is easier to notice the pictogram.

All the beaches that we have been too were pretty: sandy, lots of small fish in the water, not at all crowded. The beaches were artificially made in shape of a little bay, and the exit to the sea is protected with a net. Not sure if it was closed so that the sharks don't come in or so that no one does not swim too far.

But the most important thing about Okinawa beaches is the tide! By 11 am the water goes out so far, that you can go to the net that blocks the exit to the open sea and the water will hardly get above knees. By 3 pm the water is back and it is quite deep. The beach is opened till about 5 pm, then it gets dark.
