Tokyo/Токио

This picture pretty much sums up my impressions about Tokyo. Here you see many people walking the streets, and yet they mostly stand within the designated cross walk area;  there are plenty of cars but it does not look like there are traffic jams; in addition, a police man helps direct the traffic; big modern buildings co-exist well with old memorials (see the small concrete pagoda in the middle?); the city is big but it is easy to navigate, the signs are in Japanese and in English; a guy talks on his big cell phone (contrary to the popular belief that every electronic item is tiny in Japan, the cell phones are not small at all); there is a subway entrance nearby (see the blue circle between the pagoda and the direction signs? that is the subway marker). Tokyo is huge, many people live in it and yet the city is neat and clean.
