Landmarks and currency/Достопримечательности и деньги

The picture below shows Shureimon, the gate to Shuri Castle. This historic landmark is now pictured on a 2000-yen bill. The bill is quite rare, but not because it is a collectible. Rather opposite, vendors don't want to deal with them because there is no special room in a cash register. The bill is relatively young, it was issued in 2000 to commemorate the 26th G8 summit held in Okinawa in 2000.

На картинке ниже показаны ворота Шуреймон, ворота в замок Шури на Окинаве. Эти ворота также запечатлены на купюре в две тысячи иен. Две тысячи иен одной бумажкой можно редко встретить, но не столько потому что эту купюру все коллекционируют, а потому, что в кассовых аппаратах для нее нет ячейки. Вот потому-то и магазины от мала до велика стараются избегать этой бумажки; им ее просто класть некуда. Купюра стала выпускаться в 2000-м году в ознаменование 26-го саммита большой восьмерки, который прошел на Окинаве.
