School bags/

The person in the pictures below is advertising "randoseru," which is school bags. There is not nothing unusual about the bag, except for the fact that it is quite sturdy and will last for a few years. Needless to say, these bags are bought for the first-graders, and, in many cases, are gifts from the grandparents for the kids. Grandparents love their grandchildren very much and the school bag manufacturers use it to their advantage: the price of such a bag starts at 40,000 yen, which is over $500 as of today.

Here is a bag up close.
