Notable trees around Hirosaki Castle/

There are a couple of interesting trees around the Hirosaki castle. The first tree is 300 years old, is very tall (so tall, it would not fit into the picture), and has many roots. It just looked very unusual.

Here is some info about the tree, it is just all in Japanese. You can see the swastika on the very top of the information panel, and as I mentioned before, it has nothing to do with the Nazis; it is a traditional Japanese symbol and, in this case, shows that this information is provided by the administration of Hirosaki city.

It turns out that there are several types of cherry trees, and their blossoming times vary slightly. This particular cherry tree is the oldest in Japan.

And this is the apple tree that produces Fuji apples.
