Kokeshi painting workshop/

Kokeshi museum in Kuroishi has a fun class where anyone can paint their own kokeshi doll. We tried it and we will share our experience.

It all begins with a neatly cut piece of wood. A piece of tissue paper is wrapped around its body to preserve the paint from dripping from the head part of the doll.

The head is ready. It looks harder than it seems because there is no "undo" button.

He must be handsome since he already found a girlfriend!

В саунe.

Make-up is done, let's go party!

In the end, let the doll dry out, then take it to the instructor. He will finish the drying process with a blow dryer, then he will wipe of the doll with a rag and wrap it nicely for you.
