A little more about noodles/

For a more enjoyable ramen (noodles) experience, it is better to be eaten with both hands. Hold a spoon in the left, and chopsticks in the right hand. That way you can enjoy the broth as well as the matter of the subject at the same time.

Now let me mention the condiments. In any oriental (Chinese, Japanese, Korean -- it does not matter) there is soy sauce on the table. The rest (in the pile on the left) are some spices, sesame oil, and toothpicks. The jar with white stuff on the right is garlic, in case you want a spicier dish. The brown stuff in the other jar is miso, a bean paste that adds the deep and distinct flavor to the dish. The thing in the middle is just a towel, and many small places have towels on tables. At first I was wondering what they were for and whether I needed to wipe the table after I was done, but the towels are just a mini spill kit in case something happens.
